This was our 13th of the 48 New Hampshire four-thousand foot mountains. We went during peak leaf peeping season, which I didn’t know was such a big deal until we got there. Evidently, the white mountains turn into the Disneyland of the outdoors during leaf peeping season, with hoards of people flocking to see the trees turn.
We took the Beaver Brook trail which comes with a stern warning about dangerous trail conditions and possible death. The trail wasn’t as epic as the sign made it sound, but it was fairly steep and slippery in places.
